My experience
Education is my passion.
As a California State Certified English teacher, I have instructed hundreds of middle and high school students across the country, working in both charter and private schools. I have taught language arts courses from AP English to remedial reading and writing intervention.
As a tutor, I’ve developed customized solutions to achieve students’ unique goals. Whether you are looking to boost your reading level, write the perfect college essay, or craft your first novel– I am here to support you!
Qualifications/Degrees:
- California State Teaching Credential in Secondary English (6-12) with certification to teach Special Education and ESL students.
- M.A. in Secondary Education with a concentration in Teaching, Alder Graduate School of Education
- B.A. in Political Science, Brown University
- High School Diploma, Milton Academy
My Philosophy
As an English teacher, curriculum developer, and academic coach I believe that students attain excellence when they are empowered, engaged, and appropriately supported. I partner with students and their family to create customized interventions that consider each student’s skills, personal learning styles, and interests. My ultimate goal is to equip students will the skills to no longer rely on my support.
